West rivals Trojans
and Mules open season
with clear-cut victories

Oahu Interscholastic Association West contenders Mililani and Leilehua got off to fast regular-season starts last night.

The Trojans rolled over Waipahu, while the Mules handed Aiea a lopsided loss.



Mililani 48, Waipahu 33: Ken Moses scored 10 points to lead the Trojans past the Marauders.
Mililani outscored Waipahu 13-6 in the second quarter and held off the Marauders for the rest of the game.

Leilehua 56, Aiea 26: The Mules started their OIA West regular season in a big way with a 30-point rout of Na Alii.
Leading the attack for Leilehua were seniors John Gory and B.J. Fruean, who scored 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Leilehua went to the line 29 times and connected on 16 of those shots, while Aiea shot a mere 2-for-4 from the line.
Nicholas Helsham scored a team-high 12 points for Aiea.
