HANGIN' WITH TEEN ANGEL: "Grease" stars Derek Keeling (Danny Zuko) right, and Tiana Checchia (Sandy) clowned backstage with headliner Frankie Avalon (Teen Angel) at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. Avalon is reprising his role in the definitive 1978 film and makes "Beauty School Dropout" a showstopper. This "Grease" also benefits from a band that has a fuller and richer sound than that of the movie soundtrack album. "Grease" continues with shows through Sunday.

COULD HE BE YOUNG BOBBY VEE?: David Schlumpf looked a bit like early-60s teen idol Bobby Vee as he talked with Maile Fernandez at the opening night post-show "Grease" cast party at Marbella on Monday -- and not at all like Eugene Florczyk, the virginal high school super-nerd he plays in the show.

ONE OUT, ONE IN: Tiana Checchia (Sandy) was out of make up and back in 21st century attire but Joe Carney (Kenickie), right, had his '50s-style "greaser" pompadour in place when they talked with Marbella owner Ash Mattar at the post-show party on Monday. Cast and crew had a great time sampling Marbella's eclectic Mediterranean cusine.

CECILIA'S DEBUT: Roger Jellinek, left, welcomed Cecilia Fordham, John Hunt and Linda Ryan to his Boxing Day party Sunday (Boxing Day is a English holiday that started when the upper class "boxed" Christmas leftovers to give to the common folk). It was Fordham's first time at Jellinek's annual party. She and her late husband, Hank Fordham, had their own long-running "Day After Christmas" event.

PRETTY -N- PUNK: High-impact lingerie model and nightclub security specialist Elaine Codilla, third from left, talked with Maile Fernandez, left, Paula Jackson Hong and Mary Ann Changg after she starred in the 2nd annual Pretty - n - Punk lingerie fashion show presented by Lingerie Heaven at the Wave Waikiki on Monday. Nightlife veterans Danel Verdugo and Cox Radio production director Chris Chang also checked out the late night event.
