Room Stores Hawaii will open Saturday

Retailer C.S. Wo & Sons Ltd. will open its new 18,000-square-foot Room Stores Hawaii furniture showroom on New Year's Day off Salt Lake Boulevard.

The new concept will showcase more than 60 fully designed and coordinated rooms, created by a home furnishings designer, that can be set up in a customer's home.

The store will be located at 4296 Malaai St.

» Pro Service Hawaii has appointed Don Wakeman president and CEO. He previously served as American Benefits Plan Administrators' regional vice president. He has more than 25 years of management experience in the health and welfare industry.

PROMOTIONS

» Hawaiian Electric Co. has promoted Amy Ejercito to vice president of corporate excellence. She succeeds Patricia Wong, who was recently appointed administrative vice president of parent company Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc.

» Aston Hotels & Resorts Hawaii has promoted Rob Bertholf from Web programmer and graphic designer to director of Web innovation. Susan Osborn has been promoted to interactive marketing manager. She has been with the company for eight years, holding positions in sales and e-commerce departments. Her new duties include overseeing the development and execution of online marketing programs and initiatives. Mario Nanguse-Lopez has been hired as webmaster and graphic designer. He previously was a computer specialist and web/graphic designer for Hawaii Adventist Online Education. His new duties will include managing the day-to-day operations and development of astonhotels.com and partner Web sites. He designs and produces multimedia and graphics for Internet use.
