Kalabic goes out in style

BYU-Hawaii's Vanja Kalabic was named NCAA II Player of the Year in water polo yesterday, completing his career as a four-time All-American.

Kalabic finished his career with 300 goals scored, and is the school's all-time leader in goals and steals. Earlier this season, he received All-Western Water Polo Association honors for the third straight year, and was an Academic-All American.

Teammate Vlada Stankovic was also named to the first team yesterday. The sophomore from Belgrade scored 32 goals this season, helping the Seasiders to a 16-4 record.

Sea Warriors bury Eagles

Audrius Peciukas scored 18 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as Hawaii Pacific beat Asbury College (Ky.) 73-64 last night at Mid-Pacific gymnasium.

Dante Sykes scored 14 points to help the Sea Warriors improve to 5-3. The Eagles fell to 8-6.
