Jene M. Bixler, 81, of Kailua, a retired U.S. Navy commander and decorated Navy air combat veteran, died. He was born in Kenton, Ohio. He is survived by wife Patricia, son Brent, daughters Susan Bixler-Wilcox and Gretchen Bixler-Robinson, sister Marie Bixler-Bone and five grandchildren.
