Mission planning
free holiday meal

The River of Life Mission will host a holiday celebration on Christmas Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The mission, at 101 North Pauahi St. in downtown Honolulu, will open at 9:45 a.m. Admission is free. Staff and volunteers will serve a lunch that includes baked ham, turkey, cranberry sauce, yams, stuffing, salad and desserts.

Contributions are welcome, such as canned hams, turkeys, canned pineapple, brown sugar, rice, aluminum foil, broiler pans and paper products, as well as monetary donations.

Those who would like to donate food or gifts for the event can call 524-7656 to schedule a drop-off before noon on Christmas Eve. Monetary donations can be mailed to the River of Life Mission at P.O. Box 37939, Honolulu, HI 96837.
