Students from Kinrankai Girls High School in Osaka, Japan, visited Kuhio Elementary School yesterday to celebrate the peace and mutual respect that has grown between the United States and Japan after World War II. Among the participants were Ayumi Mashiba, 16, with second-graders Leana Raza and Darnell William, both of whom jumped into Mashiba's arms for a hug.
