Viloria looks for opponent after Hurtado's exit

Waipahu flyweight Brian Viloria will go into Saturday's show in Las Vegas blind after Reynaldo Hurtado pulled out of the bout at the last minute.

Viloria (15-0, nine KOs), ranked No. 3 by the World Boxing Council, says that he will still fight on the undercard of the Jose Luis Castillo-Joel Casamayor fight at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Viloria's fight will not be on the televised portion of the Showtime card.

Team Viloria manager Gary Gittelsohn says he is negotiating with journeyman Miguel "Maikito" Martinez (41-24-1, 31 KOs) for the fight, but Martinez has already pulled out of agreements to meet Viloria twice in his career.

Viloria hasn't fought since June 4.

Martinez, who has lost nine of his past 10 fights at weights from 114 pounds to 128 pounds, is due in Las Vegas today to get medical clearance.
