2-day sale cuts
symphony price

The Honolulu Symphony is hosting a half-price ticket sale tomorrow and Wednesday to introduce the symphony experience to new concertgoers.

"The goal of the Honolulu Symphony is to share the gift of symphonic music with the entire community, and with the half-price sale we can bring more people into the concert hall for the first time," said Stephen Bloom, symphony president.

Half-price tickets are available for select concerts during the 2004-2005 concert season only:

"Christmas Pops": With the Brothers Cazimero and Na Leo Pilimehana, 4 p.m. Dec. 12

"Romeo and Juliet": Music of Berlioz, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev, 8 p.m. Jan. 7; repeats 4 p.m. Jan. 9

"East Meets West: A Pipa Concerto": 8 p.m. March 11 and 4 p.m. March 13

"The Messiah": Easter Weekend concert at 8 p.m. March 25 and 4 p.m. March 27

"Thunder from the East": With Kenny Endo and Stuart Chafetz, at 8 p.m. April 1 and 4 p.m. April 3

"An Evening with Dianne Reeves and the Honolulu Symphony Pops": At 8 p.m. April 8 and 9

"Iggy Jang Plays Khachaturian": At 8 p.m. May 13 and 4 p.m. May 15

"Sarah Chang": MasterWorks season finale at 8 p.m. May 21

Subscriber benefits, such as ticket exchanges and reprints, are not applicable on half-price tickets.
