Program hosts
free sessions for
parents and kids

The Windward branch of Families for R.E.A.L. (Resources and Early Access to Learning) will be holding its winter session Dec. 6 through Feb. 5 at Kapunahala Elementary School.

Its spring session will be held from March 28 through June 3.

Families for R.E.A.L. is a free family support program of the state Department of Education, offering age specific classes for the parent(s), their infant, toddler and pre-schooler. Classes are held once a week for 90 minutes over 10 weeks.

Sessions offer parent and child interactive activities, such as singing, arts and crafts, movement and field trips; parent discussion and support groups on family issues; child growth and development; understanding the individual child; stress; and more.
