Pop Warner on Molokai
gets $3,000 for equipment

Hawaii Air Ambulance has awarded a $3,000 matching grant to the Pop Warner Football League on Molokai for equipment and uniforms.

Pop Warner's goal is to instill lifelong values of teamwork and dedication, according to Sione Olevao, vice president of the Molokai League.

"Our young players were ecstatic to wear new uniforms and play with new equipment," he said. "Such a token of kindheartedness has made this team even stronger and more unified than before."

There are four teams on Molokai, including 90 players and 30 cheerleaders.
