		"Just Feline Friends: A Cat's Tribute to Comrades, Companions & Confidants" by Bonnie Louise Kuchler (Willow Creek, $14.95) Mililani resident Kuchler has asembled a stocking stuffer for cat fanciers that is equal part quotation, part way-cute snapshot. Cats are easier to photograph than dogs, who just want to lick your lens, but this is a pleasant diversion.
		"All The Predators Fail" by Kristine Kubat (Trafford, no price) Literary eroticism is a tricky balancing act, teetering between allusion and descriptions of plumbing. Pahoa resident Kubat largely succeeds in this on-demand novel about a mainland transplant and her complicated love life. Hawaii is the real star.
		"Murder on Molokai" by Chip Hughes (Island Heritage, $6.99) Hughes's pastiche of hard-boiled noir and the zen goofiness of surfing bliss is effortless and entertaining. An heiress dies in a fall from a Molokai mule and foul play is suspected! Lots of fun, and first of a series.
