BUENA VISTA
Nicolas Cage, center, stars as a historian whose family is on a quest for a treasure map in "National Treasure."

Movies opening this Friday:

» "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason": Renee Zellweger, Hugh Grant and Colin Firth return for the further adventures of everyone's favorite fretful female.

In this follow-up to the worldwide hit, we find Bridget (Zellweger) where we left her: blissful and besotted in the arms of her gorgeous and supportive lawyer boyfriend Mark Darcy (Firth). With the entry of a leggy, drop-dead-gorgeous intern (Jacinda Barrett), however, Bridget's attacks of self-doubt sorely test her relationship with Mark. And just when things couldn't get any rockier, her former boss, womanizing heartthrob Daniel Cleaver (Grant) reenters her life. (R)

» "National Treasure": Nicolas Cage reunites with Ÿber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer for this action/adventure flick about a historian whose family has been hunting an elusive treasure for generations. When Cage's character learns that the country's founding fathers printed a map to the hidden riches on the back of the Declaration of Independence, he decides to steal the document. (PG)

» "The SpongeBob Square- Pants Movie": The hilarious Nickelodeon cartoon series gets its big-screen break, as the optimistic and free-spirited sponge and his dimwitted best pal Patrick the starfish leaves the confines of their hometown of Bikini Bottom to hunt down the stolen crown of King Neptune. (PG)
