Participants in the 30th Annual Kaneohe Turkey Trot scrambled out of their sacks Thursday on an obstacle course that included navigating cardboard mazes and crawling under netting. First-place winners received gift certificates from Kaneohe stores, and every competitor got a prize. The USS Crommelin returns
after six months at sea

The Pearl Harbor-based ship USS Crommelin returned yesterday after a six-month deployment in the eastern Pacific. At left, Lt. j.g. Matthew Bullock and his wife, Stephanie, posed with their two children, Ian and Ryan. The ship and its crew of 200 officers and sailors have been credited for disrupting five narcotics smuggling operations since May, estimated at $1 billion worth of cocaine.
