Body found lying
on Nuuanu road

The victim appears to have been
moved from where he died

Police homicide detectives are investigating the discovery of a man's body yesterday morning in Nuuanu.

Police were called at about 7 a.m. after the body was found on the street fronting the Makamae apartment building at 21 S. Kuakini St., across from Kawananakoa Intermediate School.

The body was on the street between two parked cars.

Investigators said there did not seem to be any foul play involved in the man's death. However, detectives said it appears the body was moved from where the victim had died.

The unidentified victim could have died of a drug overdose and was said to be in his 40s, according to police.

The case initially was classified as an unattended death but awaits further investigation.
