Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife, Lynne, waved to Gov. Linda Lingle, Lt. Gov. Duke Aiona and others who greeted them late last night at Hickam Air Force Base before a rally at the Hawaii Convention Center. It is the first time in 44 years that a candidate on the ticket for president has visited here.
