I've served on several key committees in the House; a teaching career; a community activist striving to serve Hawaii these past six years to make Hawaii a better place to live.

What would you do to combat the state's crystal methamphetamine abuse epidemic?

The "ice" epidemic starts in our school system with our children in middle schools. We need to focus our efforts by setting up alternative "sobriety schools" in which our students can continue to learn and become drug-free.

What can the Legislature do to improve Oahu's traffic congestion?

We haven't really explored all the options. Although transportation systems are primarily a city and county function, I believe the state can and should be more involved in the planning and development of alternative systems.
