» Brenda Mathias, who was found dead after an Ewa house fire Tuesday, was appointed co-executive director of Kokua Kalihi Valley in 2003. An article on Page A3 Thursday incorrectly said she was appointed in 1993.

» There are 805 cases of breast cancer per year among women in Hawaii. A total of 745 women die each year in Hawaii from various forms of cancer. They include: lung/bronchus, 161; breast, 114; colon/rectum, 74; pancreas, 53; stomach, 42; unspecified, 41; ovary, 34; non-hodgkins lymphoma, 33; leukemia, 28; and liver, 25. A graphic on Page A6 in yesterday's early edition contained incorrect numbers.

» Matson Navigation Co. employees in Hawaii, Oakland and Phoenix had donated $1,130 by Wednesday to help pay the quarantine costs for a kitten found alive after 10 days in a Matson container. Donations from the public totaled another $1,100. Incorrect numbers were given in a Page A9 story yesterday.
