endorses Abercrombie

Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Political Action Committee announced its endorsement at the Korean-Vietnam Veterans Memorial for U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie, who is seeking his eighth term in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 1st Congressional District (urban Honolulu).

"Your endorsement was based on your service on one or more of the key committees that have direct influence over veterans' affairs, national security and defense issues or military quality of life, personnel, procurement and readiness issues," said committee national director Salvatore Capirchio in a written statement.

The committee is one of more than 4,000 political action committees registered with the Federal Election Commission and is the nation's only Veterans Service Organization.
