Reno to host 2006 WAC basketball tournament

Nevada won the right to host the 2006 WAC championship in basketball March 7-11 at the Lawlor Events Center.

Nevada will also host the 2005 tournament and will host the conference's volleyball tournament for the third straight year in November.

Seasiders to meet in USTA championship

Brigham Young-Hawaii tennis players Dillon Porter and Dorian Porada won their semifinal matches in the Wilson/ITA West Regionals at San Diego yesterday, and will face each other in the finals tomorrow. Adrienn Hegedus and Jing Jing Liu advanced to the semifinals in the women's draw and won a pair of doubles matches as well.

Hawaii golfers buried in 17th

Kellen-Floyd Asao and Ryan Perez shot 151s over two rounds and the Hawaii golf team fired a collective 25 over par for 17th place on the first day of the Tucker Invitational at Albuquerque, N.M.
