Mules making people notice

Leilehua rose three spots to No. 7 in the Star-Bulletin's top 10 football media poll.

The Mules entered the poll last week at No. 10 and got the attention of voters again this week after beating Oahu Interscholastic Association rival Nanakuli.

No. 1 Kahuku and No. 2 Saint Louis stayed put, but Kamehameha jumped over Mililani into the No. 3 spot after a convincing victory over Punahou.

The Warriors challenge the Crusaders on Saturday, with first place in Interscholastic League of Honolulu at stake.

Baldwin remained at No. 5.

Castle was the only other team to move up. The Knights secured the No. 6 spot after a win over Kaimuki.

Despite a slim victory over Damien, undefeated Iolani dropped two places to No. 8.

Lahainaluna, meanwhile dropped one slot to No. 9, even though the Lunas routed Maui.
