Latest TV series needed
a plumber to help out

Another TV SERIES began filming here earlier this month, but "Rocky Point" got off to a rocky start when the production encountered some plumbing problems in one of the Mokuleia houses being used as a set. A source said other than that, filming "is going well." The WB show stars Chyler Leigh as Cassie Flynn, a 19-year-old Connecticut transplant who decided to defer Princeton to live in Hawaii with her three best friends and pro-surfer boyfriend. Cassie's world turns upside down when her long-estranged father Owen (Billy Campbell) re-enters her life. Viewers who miss seeing Calvin Klein model Travis Fimmel from "Tarzan" will be able to catch him on this show. He'll play pro surfer Taj and Lauren Holly will play Cassie's landlord Susan, a New York attorney who recently moved to Hawaii. ... Also filming on the islands was Access Hollywood. The show did a ride along with HPD officer Lt. Kevin Kawamoto, one of the consultants for the NBC series "Hawaii." They started their journey at the Kalihi precinct. ... Speaking about "Hawaii," the production crew dined at the Crouching Lion Inn recently while looking for spots to showcase in the show. Maybe the restaurant will add "Hawaii" to its list of shows that the eatery has been spotted in over the past 50 years. ... Not to be left out -- People magazine photographed and interviewed cast members from Fox's "North Shore." Sources say the exclusive for the magazine was sparked by the addition of Shannen Doherty to the cast. Hopefully this will help the show's ratings since its return to the Fox schedule didn't rate very high in the Nielsens. ... Yes, that was Beth Smith, bounty hunter Dog Chapman's significant other, shopping at the Ala Moana Macy's with her three children on Sunday. ...
