ROYALTY ON PARADE

The Aloha Festivals Royal Court float passed by during yesterday's Aloha Festivals Floral Parade in Waikiki. Float awards went to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Grand Sweepstakes winner; Hawaiian Airlines, President's Award; and Pacific Coast Pageants, Non-Commercial Winner. Pa'u Awards went to Niihau, Governor's Award; Oahu, President's Award; Molokai, Ambassador's Award; and Kauai, Most Outstanding Unit. The John & Lita Cook's Perpetual Trophy for Most Outstanding Pooper Scooper was awarded to the Island of Niihau. For more information, visit www.alohafestivals.com.

THE HONOLULU TEA PARTY

Freemasons threw mock boxes of tea from the Falls of Clyde during a re-enactment of the Boston Tea Party yesterday. Each September the Honolulu Masons re-enact the event as part of a Masonic Constitutional program honoring the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
