What qualifies you to be a state representative?

I am an advocate for our community and have the record to solve problems. I have obtained funding for our senior citizen programs and area schools, and have improved security and traffic conditions in our neighborhood.

What is the most pressing issue facing your district, and what would you do about it?

Crime. Working with the community, we have shut down drug houses and passed legislation to expand drug-free zones in schools and parks, created a "drug house busters" hot line, and funded programs to treat ... ice users.

Do you support or oppose Gov. Linda Lingle's plan to break up the statewide Board of Education? Explain.

I support public school reform initiatives that are proven to work. I have helped pass legislation that funds schools based on their individual student needs, gives principals autonomy to spend funds, funds more textbooks ...
