Workshop dramatizes Buddhist perspective

Group participation in improvisational drama and music will be used to show how Buddhist teaching is related to personal lives next Saturday.

The class, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Buddhist Study Center, 1436 University Ave., is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Intercultural and Intergenerational Young Adult Program of the Hawaii Association of International Buddhists.

Parichat Jungwiwattanaporn, a Thai-born educator and actress, will lead the class. She uses creative drama in workshops on women's rights, children's rights and peace, and performed in "Kyogen" at Kennedy Theatre last year.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing suitable for dramatic movement. To register, call 973-6555 or write to bscassist@excite.com.
