Students from the Waipahu High School Automotive Academy changed the oil on the car of First Hawaiian Bank Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Walter Dods Jr. yesterday as part of the final exam to earn their certificates. Academy students Brad Suan and Jose Nieva added new oil yesterday to the 2002 Thunderbird. The academy is a partnership involving Waipahu High School, Honolulu Community College, First Hawaiian Bank and Cutter Family Auto Center. The bank's charitable foundation donated $60,000 to set up the academy.
