Islanders need to win and get some help in af2

The arenafootball2 Hawaiian Islanders must win at Bakersfield this week to remain in the af2 playoff picture, but that's not all. Of the 30 possible playoff scenarios, the Islanders need one of these three to come to pass in order to make the postseason:

>> Hawaii defeats Bakersfield, Quad City defeats Louisville, Peoria defeats Green Bay, Central Valley defeats San Diego, Rio Grand Valley defeats Wichita. Why: Hawaii and Louisville would have 9-7 records and the Islanders would win the tiebreaker for the final playoff spot.

>> Same as scenario 1, but Louisville defeats Quad City and Green Bay defeats Peoria. Why: Quad City, Peoria and Hawaii are tied with 9-7 records with two playoff spots open. Peoria is ranked highest, but Hawaii wins a tiebreaker with Quad City for the final spot.

>> Same as scenario 1, but Louisville defeats Quad City. Why: Again, Hawaii wins a tiebreaker with Quad City for the final spot.

In any scenario Hawaii would be the sixth and final seed in the playoffs and go on the road Aug. 7.
