Ingredients
for parties

IF YOU haven't had a chance to check out a party hosted by The Main Ingredient, now is as good a time as ever to visit one of the weeklies they've got going on around town.

After management at the Royal Garden Waikiki kicked them to the curb a few months back, DJs Fortyfive and Mr. I.N.C. have returned with Nocturnal Sound Krew members Compose and Eskae and DJs Charles Lee and James Allen to host "Steppin' Out Fridays" at the hotel.

On Saturdays, the fun moves to Zanzabar Nightclub, where the same cast of characters throws down during "The Menagerie." But the most exciting party of the week from these guys, in my opinion, has to be tomorrow's "Vintage" at Indigo Restaurant.

Along with the DJs from TMI and NSK, Architechs waxmasters Delve and XL show up for this old-school party, spinning cuts by the likes of Too Short, N.W.A., Kool and the Gang and Stevie B.

Doors open at 10 p.m. for all three of these 21-and-over events; visit www.themainingredient.net for more details ...

LOCAL GIRL and former "Baywatch" babe Stacy Kamano is back on the small screen, co-hosting the show "Hotlines" on Spike TV.

Along with Ivana Bozilovic, Deirdre Delaney and Bonnie-Jill Laflin, the Kaiser graduate travels the world to bring viewers the "hottest extreme destination show ever." Check out the show Saturday nights at 9 p.m. ...

KCCN MIDDAY jock/promotions director Shannon Scott grabbed a lot of butts on Saturday -- cigarette butts, that is.

Scott led a group of listeners on a "Kick Butt Patrol" of Ke'ehi Lagoon last weekend, who were rewarded not only with that warm and fuzzy feeling that comes with doing something good for the environment, but with free T-shirts and a private party at Dave and Buster's following the cleanup ...

HEAD INTO Waikiki tonight for the second annual "Fashions on Fire in Waikiki," hosted by 21 Magazine. Last year organizers teased that Brooke Burke would be in town for the show, but it was only her new swimwear line that ended up making it here.

This time around, Playboy model and "World Poker Tour" host Shana Hiatt and fashion designer Susan Holmes are scheduled to participate in the show, which features swim and resort wear by Holmes, Le Mystere, Honeydew, Love Tan Jane and others. A portion of the proceeds from tonight's ticket sales will benefit the Friends of the USS Arizona.

The fun begins at 6 p.m. at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel; call 922-2511 ...

AND OVER at Bikini's Sports Bar (above Blue Tropix), 10 of Hawaii's top bartenders will face off during "Showdown," kicking off tonight at 9 p.m. If you're a fan of flair bartending, this is the event to be at. Cover is $5 for the 21-and-over crowd; call 944-0001 ...
