Fight the sun with Warrior sunblock, cool mist

art
There are two new products in town to help fight the summer sun and keep your skin hydrated:

» Koa Warrior 30 SPF Oxygen Sunblock has a light, non-greasy texture and is water and sweat-resistant. The almond oil gives it a light, pleasing scent and a little of this cream goes a long way. It costs $26.99 for a 3-ounce tube.

» Alo2ha Mist Activated Oxygen Spray ($7.50 to $8.50) delivers a quick pick-me-up on hot, humid days. Store the can in the fridge to get an extra burst of cool when the mist falls onto your skin. A 2-ounce can packs about 85 one- to two-second hits.

Former beach volleyball pro athlete and part-time model Lia Young likes the products so much that she picked up exclusive Hawaii rights to market them. She'll be at Umeke Market 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and at the Wholistic Living Fair at Neal Blaisdell Center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 24.

Both products -- which she says are being used on the set of the NBC series "Hawaii" -- are available at Huckleberry Farms in Nuuanu, and Down to Earth on King Street.
