"HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, ANNA'S!": Noel the She-Male, bassist and vocalist of the Miltons, watched with amusement Wednesday as partiers scrambled to find the real $1 bills hidden in a bag of "hell notes" he'd dumped on the floor during Anna Bannanas' 35th-anniversary party. Anna's officially opened on July 7, 1969, and club management gave away $500 in cash on Wednesday to mark the date. A crowd of about 75 turned out for the anniversary.

Mox beat MC Hasselhoff in the final round of the two-hour insult-athon and will take on the top emcees from other islands in Kahului, Maui, Aug. 27.

A LOVELY "LOVE'S LABOR": Director Tony Pisculli celebrated with cast members Jennifer Robideau, left, Jessica Quinn, Miriam Neuman, Moani Miller, Jennifer Vo and Sara Grove on Friday after his all-female production of "Love's Labors Lost" opened the 2004 Hawaii Shakespeare Festival at the Paliku Theatre. Pisculli's decision to go with an all-female cast works surprisingly well. Quinn and Vo distinguish themselves playing King Ferdinand and Lord Berowne.

JUST ANOTHER FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE WAVE: Peter Maharaj, standing left, Jack Law, standing second from left, and Ona Handy, next to Law, were joined by the members of Missing Dave after the band opened for AC/DShe at the Wave Waikiki Friday. A small but enthusiastic crowd was on hand when AC/DShe took the stage at 11:45 p.m. for a high-energy 80-minute tribute to AC/DC. "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" capped the encore.
