Northwest Air adds
Oahu-Portland flight

Northwest Airlines said yesterday it will expand service to Hawaii, resuming service from San Francisco and starting a daily nonstop flight between Portland, Ore., and Honolulu beginning Dec. 15.

The Minneapolis-based airline dropped the flight between San Francisco and Honolulu in 2001 but now will resume the one flight a day.

Both flights will be operated with Boeing 757-300 aircraft that seat 224 passengers, including 24 in first class. Tickets for the new Hawaii flights will available beginning tomorrow.
