Another win for Kaneohe Canoe Club

Kaneohe Canoe Club won nine races yesterday en route to claiming the Hui Wa'a overall title at the North Shore Canoe Club Regatta at Haleiwa Beach Park.

It was the fourth consecutive victory for Kaneohe in the AAA Division (25-36 events). The club scored 74 points to 60 for runner-up Manu O Ke Kai, which won eight races.

Koa Kai turned in an impressive performance, winning eight races to win the AA Division (13-24 events) with 61 points. Waikiki Yacht Club was a distant second at 22.

Waikiki Beach Boys won the A Division (1-12 events) with 27 points.

The next regatta is Sunday at Keehi Lagoon, hosted by Windward Kai.

Wong, Fonoimoana finish 13th

Punahou School product Kevin Wong and partner Eric Fonoimoana lost to Argentina's Mariano Baracetti and Martin Conde 21-17, 24-22 to finish tied for 13th at the SWATCH-FIVB World Tour stop in Gstaad, Switzerland.

Liquid Doll title to Llewellen

Australia's Kira Llewellen won the pro division of the Liquid Doll Wahine Challenge bodyboarding competition Saturday at Sandy Beach.

Finishing second was Brazil's Neymara Carvalho followed by Hawaii's Claudia Ferrari and Karla Costa Taylor.

The amateur division went to ewa Beach's Delore Manus.
