» Dusty Bergman (Hawaii) was optioned to Salt Lake in the Pacific Coast League by the Anaheim Angels on Thursday when Brendan Donnelly was activated from the disabled list. Bergman, a left-hander, appeared in one game for the Angels, the 35th player with Hawaii connections to play in a major league game.
» Tyler Yates (Kauai, Hawaii-Hilo), a right-hander, was optioned to Norfolk in the Triple-A International League by the New York Mets on Friday.
» Justin Wayne (Punahou, Stanford), a right-hander, was activated by the Florida Marlins yesterday and optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque of the Pacific Coast League.
» Gabe Memmert (Punahou, Maine) was released by the Elmira Pioneers of the independent Northeast League on June 13. "I'm not giving it up and hope to find another team soon," said Memmert, a first baseman who struggled at the plate with a .157 batting average.
