Mayor Jeremy Harris was checking on construction at Kuhio Avenue near Kalaimoku Street in Waikiki yesterday. The city is working on a beautification project for Kuhio Avenue that includes widening sidewalks, creating a landscaped median and improving curbs and wheelchair ramps. The mayor periodically visits city construction projects, a spokeswoman said.
