Enola Gay pilot in town

In a last-minute announcement, retired U.S. air Force Brigadier Gen. Paul W. Tibbets Jr., who piloted the Enola Gay on its fateful WWII trip to Hiroshima, will be at the Battleship Missouri Memorial from 10 a.m. to noon today to sign copies of his book "Return of the Enola Gay."

There is a fee to enter the museum. Call 423-0405.

"North Shore" at Sunset on the Beach

A familiar face turns up on "North Shore," as Jason Momoa returns to television as Frankie in the ensemble drama set in a luxury Hawaiian hotel.


Oahu residents will get a sneak preview of the first episode of Fox Television's hotel drama "North Shore" with appearances by members of the ensemble cast at Sunday night's Sunset on the Beach event in Waikiki.

Mayor Jeremy Harris will present a proclamation to executive producer Bert Salke at 7:45 p.m. who will introduce the cast members, including Brooke Burns, Nikki DeLoach, Jay Kenneth Johnson, Jason Momoa, Michael Ontkean, Kristoffer Polaha, Jason Matthews, James Remar, Amanda Righett, Corey Sevier and Rachel Shelley.

The event is being paid for by 20th Century Fox Studio. "North Shore" will premiere at 8 p.m. Monday on FOX.
