It all happened Thursday!

KIM'S 25TH!: Kim Taylor Reece, standing, second from left, celebrated 25 years of photographing hula kahiko with a party at Wyland Gallery in the Aloha Tower Marketplace. Standing beside him were Kahi Dela Cruz, left, Liana Green, Pamela Young and Gary Sprinkle. Carissa Coleman, front row left, Kapeka Iokia, Lokelani Tully and Alaana Singh joined them.

A HULA FOR KIM: Capella Williams danced a hula to "Pua Hone" as Kim Taylor Reece's local-style party continued at Aloha Tower. Ells Simeona and Blaine Kia were the main music makers, but "Uncle Bobby" Moderow Jr. of Maunalua sat in as a special guest. Hula dancer Anna Carbonell represented New York City, and Kanoe Cazimero danced a hula and then sat in with Kia as his backing vocalist.

PARTY AT NICK'S FISHMARKET!: The guests of honor took off early, but Alicia Michioka Jones, left, and Camille Peraro had such a good time at the "Miss Hawaii USA/Miss Teen Hawaii USA Premiere Party" that they stayed on to hang out with Ben Dowling, Nick's Fishmarket vice president and general manager. Jones is Miss Hawaii USA 2003, Peraro is Miss Teen Hawaii USA 2003.

AMAZIN'!: Kyra Poppler, third from left, rushed over from Manoa Valley Theatre's "Gunfighter" to congratulate filmmaker Gerard Elmore, left, and Paul Ogata, banana in ear, on the premiere of Elmore's film, "Amasian: The Amazing Asian," at Dave & Buster's. Ogata stars as an underappreciated Asian super hero, and Poppler has a bit part as a newscaster. Kento, aka "Super Samoan," will be in the sequel.

GETTING INTO THE REALM OF "ISM": Capella Williams, left, Kapeka Iokia, Tanui Tully and Julie De Mello partied past midnight at the premiere of "ISM," a music-and-poetry event that happens on the last Thursday of the month at Lewers Loft & Lanai. The open-air venue had a nice nostalgic vibe to it, the band was right on throughout, and there was a good mix of poets. All they need now is parking!
