Before an audience of more than 1,000, Jennifer Fairbank was named Miss Hawaii USA, and Sonya Balmores was crowned Miss Hawaii Teen USA, in a dual pageant Sunday night.

They will serve as Hawaii's delegates, respectively, to the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants, part of Donald Trump's Miss Universe organization.

Also honored during the nearly five-hour event was Dr. Angela Pratt, named one of the pageant's "Women of Achievement" for 2004.

Fairbank, 24, attended Punahou School, received a Bachelors of Psychology and Business Administration at Loyola Marymount University, and is working toward a Masters of Communication degree at Hawaii Pacific University.

In addition to winning the Miss Hawaii USA crown, Fairbank won the interview and swimsuit awards.
