Na Leo booked tomorrow
at Hawaii Theatre


TOMORROW night is your last opportunity to see the ladies of Na Leo perform before they head out for another mainland tour.

Join Nalani Choy, Lehua Kalima Heine, and Angela Morales as they celebrate 20 years of working together, as well as the re-release of their debut album, "Local Boys."

OVER AT Indigo tomorrow, "Get Fresh!" plays host to Los Angeles' DJ JFX and welcomes dancehall artist Sista Ambussh to the islands for the first time.

Reggae fans will want to catch JFX's set as he drops some of the hottest tracks off "Rootz Revolution Radio," the show he's a part of back in L.A. It will also be quite a trip for Ambussh, who celebrates her 24th birthday that evening.

DJs Sovergn-T, G-Spot and Lukas are also scheduled to spin, and if you miss the fun at Indigo, check out the Royal Garden Hotel in Waikiki for another set by JFX and Ambussh on Saturday. Call 521-2900 or 943-0202 for more info ...

KEEP YOUR Cinco de Mayo celebration going through the weekend, with a new "Latin Night" at Nick's Fishmarket on Saturday.

There wasn't much of a crowd last week, but Nick's promotions director Emily Nakasone is confident that more people will visit the restaurant's newly renovated bar/lounge area once they hear about the free Salsa lessons offered at 9 p.m.

DJs Frankie, Rod and Da Lion of Judah will mix up a variety of Latin hits, Hip-Hop, R&B and even a bit of Reggae, depending on what keeps the dancefloor moving. Cover is $5; call 591-3500 ...

SATURDAY IS also the day for this year's "Jammin' Hawaiians" concert at the Waikiki Shell.

Presented by Mass Appeal Entertainment, the show features performances by Aloha, B.E.T., Ho'onu'a, Imua, the Kekai Boyz, Nuff Sedd, the Opihi Pickers, Pati, Sudden Rush, Three Plus and Vika. Ukulele legend Troy Fernandez will also make an appearance.

The Beach House will serve as the official pre- and post-party location for the concert, with B.E.T. and Vika headlining tomorrow night and Nuff Sedd holding things down on Saturday. Call 566-0644 ...
