Warriors back in poll

Kamehameha made the biggest move in the Star-Bulletin's top 10 girls basketball media poll this week.

The Warriors were out of the poll last week, but, by virtue of a 51-35 victory over Punahou, jumped back in and shot all the way up to No. 6.

Maryknoll, last week's No. 10, dropped out.

The Buffanblu fell two spots to No. 4 after losses to Kamehameha and Iolani. Kahuku and Iolani both climbed one slot -- to Nos. 2 and 3.

Konawaena -- one of three unbeaten teams in the poll -- retained its No. 1 position. No. 8 Baldwin and No. 9 Radford are the other unbeatens.

Aside from Konawaena, No. 5 Kalaheo was the only team that stayed put.

The Rams won the Oahu Interscholastic Association West Division, but won't have any time to rest.

They play No. 10 McKinley in the first round of the league playoffs Friday. The game will be held at Aiea.
