Hawaii Inc mugshots » Oceanic Institute's board of trustees has named Gary D. Pruder as interim president. He replaces Thomas E. Farewell. Pruder joined the Institute in 1984 as project manager and coordinator of the U.S. Marine Shrimp Farming Program.

» Bowen Hunsaker Hirai CPAs has added certified public accountant Craig K. Hirai as a shareholder, director and officer. He will focus on federal and state taxation, mergers and acquisitions, business structure, tax-exempt organizations, litigation services, forensic accounting and business valuation.

Promotions

» Hawaii developer Maui Lani Partners has promoted Maui Lani General Manager Leiane Paci and Dunes at Maui Lani General Manager David H. Gleason to partners. Paci will head up new project development and focus on conceptual plans and entitlement for the mixed-use community. Gleason will lead the planning and development of infrastructure and water resources for the community while continuing to oversee all golf-course operations.

On the Board

» Planned Parenthood of Hawaii has elected Dorothy Morris president. Other officers are Vice President Melinda Wood, Secretary Dana Alden and Treasurer Bob Ramsey. On its 2004 board are Ann Crowe, Dawn N.S. Chang, Marjorie Erway, the Rev. Neal MacPherson, Angela Smith, John Spangler and Elmira Tsang.
