Through song and dance, St. Andrew's Priory students showcased the values, customs and traditions of Hawaii in their May Day concert yesterday. The second-graders, including Kayley Chung, left, Ashley Anderson-Calvo and Miku Fukuyama, performed "Red Opu" and reacted after having fun with their performance. Girls from all grade levels performed yesterday under the direction of kumu hula Michael Pili Pang.


DREAMING OF A JET PLANE

William Stutts took a nap at Kakaako Waterfront Park yesterday while waiting for an outreach volunteer. Stutts, originally from North Carolina, became homeless last year when he was robbed of all his possessions during a visit to Oahu. Without immediate family support to turn to, he found himself on the streets, but he still has dreams of going to flight school and becoming a pilot.
