Woman’s body dumped
along Ewa road

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found by Ewa goat farmers yesterday morning.

Police said the body was wrapped in a blanket, comforter and tarp and left along a dirt road leading up to the farm at 91-2161 Old Fort Weaver Road. Workers thought the bundle was rubbish until they discovered the body inside.

"In the past, people have left rubbish there, so they were going to get rid of it by burning it," said Homicide Lt. David Kamai. "They had brought it to a bin, and that's when they discovered the feet and called us."

Investigators said the woman is not missing North Shore surfer Courtney Marcher, who was last seen on April 4. The body also does not appear to fit the description of anyone reported missing recently.

The woman appears to be an Asian female in her 30s, police said. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Police ask that anyone with information about the case call detectives at 529-3115. Anonymous calls also can be made to CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or by dialing *CRIME on a cellular phone.
