Sato scores final 6 points
as McKinley rallies to
defeat Moanalua


Chelsie Sato scored McKinley's final six points to lead the Tigers' rally in a 44-41 Oahu Interscholastic Association girls basketball victory over Moanalua.

McKinley came back from a 39-38 deficit with two minutes remaining to take over sole possession of fifth place in the OIA East.

Chantal Yadao led the Tigers with 15 points, and Sato had 10.

Moanalua's Kepuanani Lee scored 15 points, and her basket late in the fourth quarter cut the Tigers' lead to 42-41. But Sato sank two free throws and the Menehunes missed a free throw before the buzzer sounded.

Tammie Andres scored 12 points to lead the Spartans, who led 27-19 at halftime.
