Rundgren gives Mid-Pac
victory


An RBI double by Mid-Pacific's Randy Rundgren broke a 1-all tie in the seventh inning and Conan Young came on in relief of starter Jayson Kramer to strike out the final two batters and preserve a 3-1 Interscholastic League of Honolulu victory over Iolani.

Iolani's Galen Komo hit a pinch RBI single to tie the game at one in the fifth after the Owls took an early 1-0 lead on an RBI single by Chris Goya.

Saint Louis 14, Maryknoll 1: Edwin Apostol gave up a run and two hits and then settled down to pair with Jordan Duropan to hold the Spartans hitless over the final four innings.

The Crusaders batted around in the third and fourth innings to score 11 runs. Sheldon Santiago, Ryan Sasaki, Chester Wilson and Johnny Gentry each had 2 RBIs.

Punahou 8, Pac-Five 1: After giving up two walks and a hit to the first three batters of the game, Buffanblu starter Shaun Kiriu settled down to retire 15 Wolfpack batters in a row as the Buffanblu overcame an early deficit to win big.

Kiriu went 2-for-2 and drew two walks. He also struck out eight in five innings.

Kamehameha 10, Damien 2: Spenser McCready hit a two-run double and Eli Chee added a two-run single as the Warriors sent 11 batters to the plate in the first inning for a quick 5-0 lead.

Nick Freitas belted a pair of solo homers for the Warriors in support of five pitchers who combined to hold the Monarchs to two runs, including a Nick Zieser solo home run.
