Twenty years ago May 1, the red hot Coble sisters, Linda and Cammy, tied the knot in a double wedding ceremony with Kirk Matthews and Bill Maheras, respectively. Last week, in an invitation that read, "The Return of the Rings," the couples announced a bash to mark the 20th anniversary of their weddings. They urge guests to come in "retro aloha attire" ...

Five years ago Jean Dickinson transferred from Communications Pacific to Hill and Knowlton in L.A. She planned to stay two years then return. Perhaps meeting former Pepperdine College friend Reggie Scully had something to do with the extended stay in La La Land. Reggie said Jean told him she's going to be a mogul. He isn't holding his breath. Jean and Reggie flew in late last month and met with friends at Longhi's Ala Moana. Among those joining the couple were Margaret Murchie, Nora Meijide-Gentry and Tom Sofos. The visitors also checked in with another college pal, Indigo's Gordy Berry. Before leaving, they saw Gov. Linda Lingle's media relations man Russell Pang, model Carolyn Bosanko, Robyn Schaefer and Marty Schiller at the Pacific Club ...

Tasia, 3, turns it on in the Bubba Gump 5K

Nora's pumped over her granddaughter, Tasia Gentry-Balding, 3, taking first place in her 2 to 4 age group in the March 28 Bubba Gump 5K Fun Run at Magic Island. Tasia did it in 39 minutes and 25 seconds. Nora admits that Tasia ran and walked. Hey, that's still something to brag about. Tasia is the daughter of Nora's daughter, Corin, and Billy Balding ... Longhi's Ala Moana was packed Friday night for Green Bottle Productions first Friday of the month late-nighter, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. DJs and models were highlights ... Headlined "Kauaian Punch," Kauai receives a wowwee two-page spread with plenty of color photos in the April issue of Vanity Fair ...

MidWeek editor Don Chapman received e-mail praise from a "Tendor" for including Tibetan lore in his "My Kind of Town" serialized fiction adventure that appears on this page. Turns out Tendor is the abbreviation for Tenzin Dorjee, the Dalai Lama's envoy in D.C. Tendor found Don's writings in the tibetdaily.com site ...
