» Bowen Hunsaker & Co. will be renamed Bowen Hunsaker Hirai, Certified Public Accountants, with the addition of Craig K. Hirai. He will work primarily in federal and state taxation, mergers and acquisitions, business structuring, tax-exempt organization, litigation services, forensic accounting and business valuation. He is a former Torkildson Katz Fonseca Moore & Hetherington law firm shareholder, director and officer. Hirai has practiced as a tax lawyer and certified public accountant in Hawaii for the last 25 years.

» Lisa Knutson is the new Maui Memorial Medical Center regional human resources director. She is responsible for recruitment, classification, training and labor. She was previously the labor relations assistant director at the medical center.

» Sam Choy's Diamond Head named Fenton S.G. Lee to pastry chef. He has more than 30 years of baking and confectionery experience. Prior to joining the restaurant, he was president, owner and executive chef of the restaurant and bakery Hawaiian Classic Desserts Inc. in Lihue, Kauai.

» Nonprofit organization People Attentive to Children has named Sherri Aoyama, of American Savings Bank, to 2004 president.
