Delaney leaves
Marc Resorts

Matt Delaney is stepping down as president of management firm Marc Resorts and will turn company operations over tomorrow to a team that includes the principals of the Phoenix-based company that bought Marc Resorts in 2002.

Delaney is leaving to pursue other interests, though he will remain on Marc Resorts' board, the company said in a statement. Heller-White Hotel Management LLC bought Marc Resorts two years ago from time-share operator Sunterra Corp. At the time, Mitchell Heller became chairman and chief executive of Marc Resorts, while Kent White became vice chairman. Wayne Tomita was recently named vice president of finance, while Paul Tomonari serves as executive vice president.

Delaney was assigned to Marc Resorts by Sunterra in 1997. He was promoted to CEO in 2000.

Marc Resorts manages 14 resort, hotel and condominiums on Oahu, Kauai, Maui, the Big Island and Molokai.
