Asashoryu wins basho


OSAKA, Japan » Asashoryu won the Haru Basho today, beating Chiyotaikai for his 30th straight win covering two tournaments.

Asashoyru's streak is the 15th longest in sumo history, tying Takanohana's in 1994.
