No, Roger Tyau was not fishing for tilapia in the water surrounding the state Capitol on Tuesday. He was actually practicing his fly-fishing technique on the building's lawn in preparation for his Alaskan fishing trip later this summer. He said the day's windy, cloudy weather was perfect to practice his technique.

Troops from the 25th Infantry Division, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment waited yesterday for their plane to Afghanistan at the Hickam Passenger Terminal. They had been awake since midnight preparing to leave, so some tried to rest for a few minutes. Spc. Isaac Kawika Nahakuelua, left, Sgt. Michael Greenman, Spc. William King and Pfc. Hugo Hernandez were more interested in computer games.
