NEW JOBS

>> Silicon Valley investor and entrepreneur Nicholas Mitsakos has joined HMS Hawaii Management as a special limited partner. He focuses on networking communications systems, subsystems, software and components companies. Other special limited partners are John Dean and Ron Higgins. Dean is managing director of Tuputele Ventures Fund. Higgins was founder of Digital Island and is now a Hawaii-based investor.

>> Marriott International has appointed Glenn Okamoto to new general manager of the company's first Courtyard brand hotel in Hawaii, on Waipouli Beach, Kauai. He will oversee all resort operations. He was most recently director of guest relations at Maui Marriott Resort and Ocean Club.
